Hi Corey,

Thank you for bringing up your query on Microsoft Community.

Apologize for the difficulties that you're experiencing in Windows 10.

Not to worry, we're here to help you out.

  • What are you referring to? When you say Does the Logitech Keyboard / Mouse MX5500 on Windows 10 64bit successfully?

  • From where have you installed the drivers?

This might have occurred due to outdated/incompatible drivers.

Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.

Step 1 : Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices.

I suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your mouse.

Refer these steps:

1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

4. Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Step 2: Try updating the drivers from the Device Manager.

a) Press Windows Logo + X keys on the keyboard.

b) Click on Device Manager.

c) Search for the Keyboard driver from the device list and right-click on it and select Update Driver Software.

d) Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the installation of the latest driver.

Follow the above steps for mouse as well.

Hope it helps.

Kindly let us know if you need any further assistance, we are glad to assist you.

Thanks & regards,

Abdul Malik

Yes, the Logitech® Wireless Wave Combo MK550 does not seem fully compatible with Windows OS 64bit machine.

As I said before, I could be typing and looooooooooooooooooooook up see this.  I then have to press the back button to delete and usually the space button to make to stop.  I would usually highlight this with the mouse, but it is so jittery, making it move and to the right point is nearly impossibly.

As you look at the technical specs: Windows® XP, Windows Vista®, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 - seems that even Windows® XP which is not supported by Microsoft is supported by the Logitech® Wireless Wave Combo MK550. And even though Windows® not completely supported Windows Vista® completely, Logitech hangs in there

There have been a lot of issues. It took me a couple of weeks to prove to Office365 that when submitting a trouble ticket in Microsoft Edge and sometimes Explorer 11 will not work until it asks you for a phone number.

Now their Support page wants me down download / install SetPoint. but this program has not helped.

Cordless Desktop® MX™ 5500 Revolution basically says no drivers needed.

Description Software / Apps Required Connectivity

No software or App is needed to use this product

I have to disagree that something needs to be done. It says it has a three year warranty. I never throw anything away, I usually scan it but I have to start to put them in an order - most everything else is.

I have gone thru the device manager to scan for drivers for the Logitech MX550 keyboard and mouse, but I will do it your way, through the CP  I have no idea which one is better.  That is usually one of the first steps I take.  There are some tiny code changes and hopefully the right teams will share their information - they need to know.

The options found nothing to do with the Logitech MX550 keyboard and mouse unfortunately. Been trying to sign into their domain, but I don't have my password.

I know a lot of people disagree with the use of third party programs to look at drivers, and the such, but there were some drivers, namely Bluetooth that seemed to help.

Keyboard / mouse worked great for a week or so. Keyboard is not longer spitting out "looooooooook" instead of "look". #Logitech MX5500 worked well for awhile but then still jumpy some.

Any other ideas?

Corey
